See Forever Update, April 2024
See Forever Owners:
Winter season is winding down, and it is finishing strong for all of our skiers. Some great late season snow made up for a slow start, and it seems that this winter has been another successful season for our area. It has been a successful season for See Forever. Delton, our new Engineer, has hit the ground running and is already making a difference on the quality of our property. I cannot wait to see what he is able to do once he truly learns the property and can escape from his current "firefighting" mode! Telluride Consulting is stepping up and doing a nice job for us.
As we enter the spring season, I want to provide a quick update on the status of our two major projects: Stain and Chink and Roof Replacement.
Stain and Chink will precede the roof replacement so as not to damage our new roof. Timing is obviously weather dependent, but the plan right now is to start the stain and chink as early as April 9. It will take approximately 4 weeks to finish each building, so this part of the project should be completed before July 4th if the weather cooperates.
Roof Replacement will begin immediately after stain and chinking. So, we expect to begin work on San Sophia (the first building targeted for work, by May 6), and work to begin on Mount Wilson June 10.
Estimated Timeline *weather dependent
San Sophia Mount Wilson
Start chinking April 9 May 1
Finish chinking June 15 July 1
Start roof replacement May 6 June 10
Finish roof replacement October 20 October 20
This summer will be very hectic at our property, but once this is done, we will be able to enjoy ourselves for the next several years… AND will hopefully be able to get much more affordable property insurance for our property.
One item I want to update everyone on is our budget. The Board very much appreciates the prompt payment of dues and the special roof assessment. Of our 29 owners, 25 have completed payment on time and in full. Thank you for that. We do need every owner to meet their legal obligation, so for those of you that might have missed the invoice and email reminders, please know that you will receive a notice from Telluride Consulting this week that will reflect late payment fees as of the date the account was delinquent - March 1. We need everyone to get current on their bills, so I thank you in advance for taking care of this.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable spring, and look forward to getting together this summer for some hiking (with some of you!) and some happy hours (hopefully with all!)
